Being in a good shape can have an extremly positive impact on your general well-being. It can be very easy to get discouraged in your path towards your healthier self, as the progress may be slow and you look at people in better shape than you and think you'll never be as good as them, so why even try. The problem with this argument is, that if everyone thought like this, only the most fit and beautiful person would have a "right" to feel happy, as everyone else can find someone, who's more muscular, bigger or more fit than them. The point is not to be better than everyone else, the point is to be better than you in the past.
